Stop Cop City: An Abolitionist Fight in the Atlanta Forest

An Earth Day Conversation linking struggles for Environmental Justice and Police Abolition!

Join friends from A World Without Police (in town from Atlanta) for a report on the struggle against the construction of a massive regional police training compound and the destruction of the Weelaunee Forest (Muskogee land in Atlanta, GA). Announced only months after the George Floyd Uprising, Cop City designs include a mock city to practice putting down urban protests—and would destroy 381 acres of forest vital to the regional ecosystem. Come hear about ongoing forest occupations, protests, and organizing and brainstorm ways to deepen and expand the movement to stop Cop City.
