Gathering Utopias is back! In the fall we hosted a three-week reading group on the utopian imaginary that focused on speculative fiction. This spring the focus is on historical utopias! Join us on Saturday February 22 and March 1. For this session we’ll be discussing Kristin’s Ross’s The Emergence of Social Space, pages 4—25 and the Manifesto of the Paris Commune’s Federation of Artists. This reading group is happening in conjunction with Julie & Elizabeth’s Anti-Capitalist Concert Series, which programs music and conversation to envision an anti-capitalist future. The concert that accompanies these readings will take place on March 9th 🎩🎀💜⭐️
